Washington, DC, January 3, 2024 – The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) will hold its biennial Swearing-in Ceremony and Reception to celebrate and honor newly elected and re-elected Hispanic members of Congress on Wednesday, January 8. Held in Washington, DC, at The Anthem, the ceremony will also acknowledge the installation of the incoming leadership of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC).

The event is hosted every two years by CHCI. A highly-anticipated gathering for Latino policy makers and professionals and those who support them, it convenes members of Congress, corporate executives, and a vast array of community leaders to celebrate the indelible civic and legislative contributions of Latino leaders.

As part of the ceremony, the honorable Xavier Becerra, Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, will provide special remarks. The evening’s program includes pre-and-post evening receptions, a welcome from CHCI President and CEO, remarks from members of the CHC leadership, and the administration of the oath to Hispanic members of Congress and CHC officers. Entertainment for the event’s pre-and post-receptions will be provided by media partner El Zol 107.9 (WLZL).

“We are privileged once again to celebrate Latino members of Congress at the Swearing-in, which will recognize the largest CHC in history. This milestone is a testament to both the increasing influence of our community across the country and to the commitment of Latinos to the progress of our nation. CHCI is honored to play a role in the effort to secure more equitable representation for Latinos and remain diligent in the pursuit of our vision of a country where legislative leadership reflects the diversity of its people,” said Marco A. Davis, CHCI President and CEO.

Registration for the event is open to the press and the public at chci.org. Mission partners lending their support to this event are recognized below.
