Hayley Hernandez

Hayley Hernandez is a proud Guatemalan first-gen student at Justice High School. She enjoys staying active by being involved in her school’s Cross Country, Track, and Softball team which has allowed her to come out of her comfort zones and try new things. Aside from that Hayley enjoys volunteering for HACAN, a non-profit organization that has helped her get more involved with her Latino community. She attended the Fund Our Schools lobby day in Richmond with HACAN and other peers. This experience helped her practice her advocating skills while working with others towards an issue her community faces.  She became determined to apply to CHCI NextGen because of her drive towards self improvement and interest in Government. Hayley is open to meeting new people who share similar goals and are also interested in empowering their Latino community.
