Adam Urbina

Adam Urbina is a Mexican American, who is also proud of his Irish and German heritage. He attends Pendleton High School in Pendleton, Oregon. He is a member of National Honor Society, ASTRA and is a junior member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. He is also a three sport athlete, participating in football, wrestling and track. At a young age, Adam moved from Salem, Oregon to rural eastern Oregon. Adam has always been interested in STEM and hopes to go on to get a four year degree in either the medical or enginerring field. Being accepted to CHCI NextGen is extremely important to him after seeing the racial disparities in policing and law making with regards to immigrant and Latino groups. He is excited to engage with policy making andf to learn how he can better serve the Latino community.
