Alessia Sosa Vargas is a rising senior at New Hope-Solebury High School. She is an immigrant from the Dominican Republic, and moved to the U.S. in 10th grade. Alessia is passionate about educational access for all, politics, and community engagement. She founded Foundation Nana, a nonprofit organization that offers free English programs to rural youth in Latin America. She plans to pursue a career focused on international development and law, with the goal of contributing to educational reforms and nationwide politics in the Dominican Republic.
