NextGen Latino Leadership Program 2023
Andrea Archilla
Hometown: Toa Alta, Puerto Rico
School: Robinson School
Andrea Archilla is an outgoing boricua student at Robinson School, natively from Toa Alta, Puerto Rico. She is currently the Parliamentarian of Model United Nations, a writer for Voices of Gen Z, and a student practitioner at the Bayamón City Council, serving as an Auxiliar Secretary at the Mayor’s Office. She is passionate about embodying the change she wants to see in her community; with the ultimate aim to pursue a career in Political Sciences, she wishes to someday serve the Puerto Rican Department of Education. Having been able learn from a diversity of talented Latinx youth, the Next Generation program made it clear to Andrea that the improvement her community yearns for lies in the empowerment of the youth, as they are the key to a brighter nation. Furthermore, thanks to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, Andrea is one step closer to becoming a constituent of the next generation of Latinx leaders our country needs.
