U.S. House Committee On Science, Space and Technology

Carlos Medina serves as the Press Assistant for the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. Born in Cartagena, Colombia, and raised in Kissimmee, Florida, Carlos is a proud first-generation American who began his Capitol Hill career as an intern for Congressman Darren Soto (D-FL). He also served as a Staff Assistant for Congresswoman Val Demings. A first-generation college graduate, Carlos earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida State University, furthering his commitment to public service and political engagement. 

In his current role at the Committee, Carlos plays a pivotal part in crafting communications that highlight the committee’s legislative priorities and scientific initiatives. His work ensures that the public and stakeholders are informed about key developments and engagements in the realms of science, space, and technology, reflecting his commitment to enhancing public understanding of these critical areas.

In his spare time, Carlos enjoys going to local restaurants and traveling with friends.
