Daniel was born in the small town of Ukiah in Northern California and raised by parents who immigrated to the United States from Mexico in the late 1980s. With a farmer worker father and a counselor mother, he realized the value of education, strong morals, and hard work. He is a first-generation college student and adamant about the ideals of service by creating a better community around him in any way possible.
Daniel is a rising sophomore at California State University, Sacramento majoring in Political Science. Upon completing his degree, Daniel hopes to attend law school and focus on immigration law to begin a career in supporting individuals to reach their goals and dreams by obtaining citizenship.
As a CHCI Intern, Daniel hopes to gain a wider insight into the legislative process. He hopes that he can use this experience to better prepare him for law school and advocate more effectively for his community.
