Daniela Mendoza was born in Mexico but grew up in Plano, TX. She currently serves as the Office Manager and Scheduler for Congressman Ted Lieu (CA-36). Before this role, she worked in higher education at the University of Maryland and the University of Miami, where she assisted students in pursuing their passions while striving to provide an equitable environment for all students. Daniela is also a Teach for America alumna who previously worked in a low-income community teaching 3rd-grade bilingual reading and language arts in Dallas, TX. She earned her undergraduate degree in English and Spanish from Texas Christian University and her education master’s degree in higher education leadership from Southern Methodist University. In her free time, Daniela enjoys exploring new restaurants with friends, reading various books, and experiencing musical theatre.
