Born and raised in Perú, Diego immigrated to California in 2013, driven by a desire to pursue his dreams and contribute to the Latino community. A graduate of the University of California, San Diego, he holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, which he utilizes to address critical issues such as defense, military, veterans’ affairs, budget, and appropriations. His immigrant background has instilled in him a strong sense of resilience and empathy, fueling his desire to be a proud advocate for his community. Diego’s dedication to public service makes him committed to use his education and experiences to empower his community, ensuring their voices are heard and their interests are represented in the halls of Congress. Through his unwavering dedication and tireless advocacy, Diego hopes to work with the resilience and determination that defines the Latino community in the United States and in Congress.
