U.S. House Judiciary Committee

Juan Carlos Mora serves as Staff Assistant to the Democratic Staff of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, under the leadership of Ranking Member Jerry Nadler (D-NY). He previously served U.S. Senator Alex Padilla, U.S. Representative Mike Thompson, and Cornerstone Government Affairs.

Juan Carlos hails from Napa Valley, California, and is a proud first-generation son of Mexican and Nicaraguan immigrants. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Philosophy from the George Washington University, where he now pursues an M.A. in Public Policy. His scholarship focuses on the political philosophy of constitutional law, administrative law, and regulatory policy. He is the author of “The Supreme Court’s Legitimacy Problem: A Proposal for Distributed Judicial Selection,” which was published in the sixth volume of the George Washington University Undergraduate Review.

Impassioned by Latino advancement, Juan Carlos managed a campaign to elect the City of Napa’s first Latino mayor.
