Hometown: Los Angeles, California

School: Brentwood School

Luna Olivera-Rosales dreams of a future where every underrepresented voice she uplifts today will shape the laws she’ll craft tomorrow. She is a proud first-generation Mexican-American and rising senior at Brentwood School in Los Angeles. Deeply passionate about equity and representation, she serves as a Co-President of the Latinx Student Association and of Pride Project, leading efforts that celebrate identity and promote inclusion on campus. Her advocacy also extends beyond school: she starred in a short film alongside Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard, emphasizing the role of young Latinos in politics, and in the summer of 2025, she will intern with California Assemblymember Sade Elhawary to gain first hand experience in public service. With aspirations to become a United States Congresswoman, she applied to CHCI NextGen to connect with other Latino student leaders and continue to grow the skills necessary to serve and uplift others.
