Maru Vazquez is the Deputy Director for Majority Leader Schumer Senate Diversity Initiative. In this role she is focused on  recruiting and retaining diverse candidates in the U.S. Senate. Previously, served Washington Pro Temp Senator Patty Murray as her Deputy Administrative Director. She has been working in Congress, house and senate, for the past five years. To give back to her community she served two terms as Secretary and Events Director for the Congressional Hispanic staff association (CHSA).
