Michelle Flores
Current Position/Organization
Vice President, Communications and Digital Media
Michelle Flores (she/her/ella) is a Special Advisor for External Affairs at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) at the Department of Commerce. In this role, she works on tracking and monitoring public engagements across the Internet for All programs to ensure effective amplification of their work.
Michelle is an alumnus of CHCI’s Summer 2021 Congressional Internship Program, where she served as a Congressional Intern in the office of Representative Teresa Leger Fernandez (NM 3rd District). Michelle is a proud first-generation Mexican American. Driven by her passion for advocacy and change making she received her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in International Business from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX. Her experiences as a Mexican American have fueled her to represent her community and their interests through public policy.
As a member of the DC Chapter of the Alumni Association, Michelle is excited to increase engagement amongst alumni, inspire active involvement, and support CHCI and its mission as an organization.
