U.S. Representative Mike Levin  

Raymond is the Communications Director for Rep. Mike Levin (CA-49). Previously, he served as the National Press Secretary for former House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (MD-05) and Communications Director for Rep. Ritchie Torres (NY-15). Raymond began his career as a paralegal for the Boston-based legal rights group GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) fighting for marriage equality and anti-discrimination laws. In 2012, he joined the political communications firm BerlinRosen in New York City handling media strategy and public relations for legal groups, unions, nonprofits, and issue-advocacy campaigns. In 2015, Raymond joined then-NYC Council Member Ritchie Torres as his Deputy Chief of Staff overseeing legislation and communications. Raymond worked on the successful 2020 Torres for Congress campaign that ultimately brought him to the Hill. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and is a native New Yorker. He is a first-generation college student and the son of immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic and Honduras.
