Yaisy Villalobos-Garcia, born and raised in Los Angeles, California, is a first-generation college student who deeply values the role of higher education in creating opportunities. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis on International Business.
Before attending college, Yaisy completed a study abroad program in Tokyo, Japan, where her worldview widened. This wonderful experience led her to get involved in many other programs that would support her on her college journey. Most notably, she is involved in the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at California State University, Fresno, where she continues to grow professionally and personally. Additionally, she is part of the Craig School of Business Scholars Program and serves as the Marketing Chair for the Study Abroad Club.
Yaisy has always been actively striving to improve her community. She aspires to become an international trade specialist to improve areas in her career field. Yaisy hopes to build her own non-profit organization that provides business advice to underserved business owners. She desires to continue developing and fostering international connections around the world while pursuing a master’s degree abroad to better understand how she can meet the needs of different communities.
As a CHCI Intern, Yaisy hopes to gain insight into international businesses. She hopes to utilize this experience to develop skills that will lead her closer to empowering her community and building a foundation for future generations.
