Former Vice President Joe Biden to Address CHCI 43rd Annual Awards Gala
Washington, D.C., September 21, 2020 – Joe Biden, the 47th Vice President of the United States and former U.S. Senator from Delaware, will address the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) 43rd Annual Awards Gala on September 21 in brief pre-recorded remarks. With the theme Our Voice, Nuestro Poder this year, the all virtual Annual Awards Gala is CHCI’s premier event during Hispanic Heritage Month. The event will recognize the Hispanic community’s resilience during the current challenges facing the nation, pay tribute to the community’s most distinguished leaders, and bestow the Medallion of Excellence, CHCI’s highest honor, to this year’s recipients—novelist Isabel Allende and humanitarian and culinary innovator José Andrés. Press registration is required here.
“We are delighted to have former Vice President Joe Biden deliver remarks at our 43rd Annual Awards Gala, which highlights CHCI’s work and the contributions of our community,” said Rep. Ruben Gallego, CHCI Chairman. “As Vice President of the United States, Mr. Biden was a great friend and ally to the Hispanic community, to the Members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and to CHCI.”
