CHCI’s podcast honors the incredible accomplishments of American Latinos. Hosted by Marco A. Davis, CHCI President and CEO, the podcast will feature in-depth and inspiring interviews with community leaders on our nation’s most pressing issues, and how Latinos across the country are leading us into a brighter future. A celebration of Latino achievement, identity, and culture, the CHCI podcast will also highlight the impact of the organization’s work and discuss the vital importance of Latino leadership for the United States.

Each 30+ minute episode features an interview with an established Latino/a leader on their personal history and career, and how they are advancing the success of a new generation of Latino leaders. The podcast will explore a wide range of current issues affecting the Latino community and our nation, such as: education, health, economic mobility, and the need for more Latino leadership in the United States Congress and other government roles, the private sector, and the nonprofit world. Podcast interviews will feature policy experts, public officials, corporate executives, community advocates, and thought leaders.

Alejandra Y. EPISODE 4: THE JOURNEY TO PUBLIC SERVICE

On this special episode, Marco Davis sits with three CHCI alumni who serve as Chiefs of Staff for Members of Congress: Sandra Alcala, for Congressman Filemon Vela (TX-34), Berta ‘Bee’ Alisia Guerrero, for Jimmy Gonzalez (CA-34), and Gerardo Bonilla Chavez, for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14). Sandra, Bee and Gerardo share stories about their personal and professional journeys, their experiences as Latinos working for Members of Congress, and how participating in leadership programs like CHCI’s has enriched their lives.
