For the 2026–2027 program year, CHCI is offering a selection of Postgraduate Fellowships to exceptional individuals with advanced academic degrees from across the country.
Postgraduate Fellows gain unparalleled exposure and professional experience in a public policy focus area: Health, K-12 Education, Technology, Child Welfare, Housing, and Law. Fellows learn how to utilize their expertise to make a difference through a paid nine-month Fellowship in Washington, D.C.
Fellows strengthen their policy skills through hands-on work in an office of their choice in Congress for the full nine months or may opt to work the second half of the program in a federal agency, national nonprofit, or think tank.
In addition, Fellows participate in CHCI’s premier leadership development training, produce an issue brief, and develop/execute a Capitol Hill policy briefing related to their focus area.
This transformative experience helps Fellows pursue diverse career paths in the public, private, or nonprofit sectors. They gain deeper insight into how policy and legislation are formed and how institutions shape markets, communities, and solutions to pressing challenge.
This experience allows them to stand out in today’s job market and accelerate their growth as leaders.
