Alejandra Vélez is a student at Piaget Bilingual Academy from Manatí, Puerto Rico. She currently holds various records in the discipline of Track and Field, current class president, cheer captain, and a volunteer at a hospital. She’s passionate about helping others, and serving her island. The NextGen program made it possible for Alejandra to deeper understand many cultures including her own, allowing her to ultimately realize the beauty and importance of the Latinx presence in our community.
