Leslie Martinez Nava is a Mexican American living in the state of Wisconsin. She is a leader at her high schools only Latino club and a scholar. One of of her biggest aspirations in life is to make a positive impact in the society we live in. One issue in particular that she is passionate about is climate change. Throughout her time with CHCI and the NextGen program she got to think deeply about what it means and looks to be a leader and what steps would be required of her to make change. Thanks to the NextGen program she gained valuable information about experienced individuals and learned a lot about our political world. She would recommend this program to anyone who is even remotely interested. Why?
