Joleen Rivera 

Joleen Rivera has over a decade of combined congressional, legal, and advocacy experience. She is currently a Senior Manager on Amazon Web Services’ Americas Public Policy team where she leads on federal policy and legislation. She interacts with Congress and the Administration on AI policy, cybersecurity, privacy, digital modernization, workforce and national security issues. She previously served as Senator Cortez Masto’s Legislative Director & Chief Counsel where she oversaw the Senator’s policy agenda across five committees and was intimately involved in negotiating major bills such as the American Rescue Plan and the Inflation Reduction Act. She also served as the Senator’s senior advisor on immigration, civil rights, economic policy, and oversight matters. Prior to the Senate, Joleen worked at the AFL-CIO, where she advocated with Congress and the Administration on immigration reform, paid family leave, and other working family issues.  Joleen received her bachelor’s degree from SUNY New Paltz and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin. She is licensed to practice law in New York and Wisconsin.
