ALEXANDRA CRUZ

My name is Alexandra Cruz and I am currently an Instructional coach at a K-6th grade school.  One of my goals is to work in education policy, but I knew that in order to be able to make a positive impact, I needed to immerse myself in the world of education.  My passion began during my early college years and after having the opportunity to be part of the CHCI Internship program in 2015, I was even more convinced that I wanted to be in education policy. I am now going into my tenth year in education and I hope to embark on the policy side of this, once I complete this next school year. Another one of my goals this year is to get involved with past organizations that believed in me and helped me be where I am today, including my scholarship programs and programs like CHCI.
