Alexis Sotelo is a son of Mexican immigrants from Los Angeles, California. He is a current senior at Manual Arts High School who’s in the SMART learning community, Gear Up Peer Mentor Squad Group and the USC Trio ETS program. A professional goal that he has this school year is becoming the top vocal ensemble singer in his choir class. He’s very respectful, hardworking and motivated in everything that he does in his school with his classes and programs. Thanks to the NextGen Program, Alexis has gained a deeper understanding of leadership in his community and is looking forward to working with other peers in his community.
