Amy was born in La Paz, Bolivia to an American father and a Bolivian mother. She spent most of her childhood in Bolivia and later lived in Virginia and Kenya, giving her a varied upbringing. Each place she lived in offered unique experiences, shaping her worldview and giving her a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives.
Amy is a recent graduate of the University of Virginia, double majoring in Leadership and Public Policy and Environmental Sciences. As president of the Environmental Sciences Organization, she held career advising events for students to attend and led initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability on campus. The summer before her senior year, she interned in the Wildlife Conservation Society’s office in Bolivia, where she was involved in project management. She later interned with the City of Richmond Office of Sustainability, where she focused on community engagement. In the future, Amy hopes to be in policy consulting, immersing herself in various policy issues.
As an intern with CHCI, Amy hopes to connect with a diverse array of individuals and learn from their unique experiences and perspectives. Through these interactions and this internship, she aims to further her understanding of public policy. She is excited to grow both personally and professionally to make a positive impact through her work.
