Angelica Duque is a legislative assistant in the Office of Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II, where she has an extensive portfolio that covers health care, immigration, education, judiciary, civil rights, defense, and other issue areas. She is a graduate of the University of Miami, where she majored in Political Science and minored in International Relations and Latin American Studies. Angelica hails from White Plains, New York and is proudly Colombian-American. She is an alumna of CHCI’s scholar-intern and congressional internship programs, and serves as Secretary of the CHCI Alumni Association, DC Metro Chapter. Angelica has worked on Capitol Hill for four years and hopes to continue working in government so that she can make a positive impact on society.
