Angie Barrera-Gonzalez is the daughter of Mexican immigrants from Madison, Wisconsin. A leader of Union Latinx at La Follette High School, a student-led organization that honors heritage and is a space to celebrate Latinx culture. With occasionally hosting bake sales, selling shirts, and fundraising money to help fund experiences for students. She is passionate about being a voice for her community, in the future she sees herself becoming an immigration lawyer. Thanks to the NextGen program, she has gained confidence in herself and her community.
