Artemis Hodoyan currently serves as a Legislative Correspondent in the Office of Senator Padilla. Prior to being a Legislative Correspondent, she was a Field Representative in San Diego, CA. Her family is from Tijuana, Mexico and she was raised both in San Diego and Tijuana. In the district, she got to experience firsthand how policy affected California. Specifically, she saw how our immigration system and policies affected refugees and asylum seekers in Southern CA. Her experiences as a Field Representative drove her to apply to a Master’s degree in Counterterrorism and Homeland Security.
Her experience also drove her to move to D.C., with the goal of crafting meaningful policy. Her passions and future goals are to focus on foreign policy, defense, national security, homeland security and immigration.
