Ava Sophia Palacios

Ava Sophia Palacios is the oldest of six kids in her family, daughter of a Venezuelan Mother and Honduran Father, and was born and raised in Utah. Ava Sophia has a passion for the diversity and culture around her and is an aspiring polyglot currently studying Spanish, Chinese, and French. Ava Sophia will serve as co-president for BWHS’s DECA Chapter this upcoming year and is involved in organizations such as Speech & Debate, Model UN, DECA, Dress for Success, and NHS. Thanks to the CHCI NextGen program, Ava Sophia has gained a deeper understanding on how to build up her community and advocate for important issues around her. With these skills Ava Sophia looks forward to working in either Political Science, Foreign Affairs, or Business and would highly recommend the program to any member of the Latino Community regardless of interest in Politics.
