While growing up in a small town in Nayarit, Dali Yadira Guerrero Fernandez learned to value education and hard work quickly. She grew up listening to endless lectures from her parents on education being the greatest inheritance one can leave behind. Dali has now earned a reputation for excellence and leadership in her San Jose Community at a young age. She is heavily involved at school participating in countless extracurriculars from debate to managing a full time job outside of school. She hopes to be the first in her family to attend a 4 year university studying government or international affairs. Thanks to the NextGen program, Dali gained insight into how the government works at a national level and a network of future leaders. It is evident that Dali truly embodies her last name, “Guerrero”, or Warrior.
