Jason was born in Washington, DC, and raised by a resilient immigrant single mother from Honduras. He identifies as Afro-Latino and believes in the importance of representation within the Latino community, acknowledging the intersections of identity. Growing up in a diverse environment, he developed a keen ability to understand and mediate between different perspectives. As a Case Manager and Translator for a law firm, he assisted undocumented immigrants on their path to citizenship, reflecting his commitment to community service and his belief in the importance of immigration reform.
Currently, Jason is a student at Eastern Kentucky University, majoring in Political Science. He completed his Associate of Arts and Sciences in International Studies at Montgomery College. His passion for foreign and public policy stems from a deep curiosity about international relations and the mechanisms of global cooperation. Jason plans to attend law school and pursue a career in the legal field, aiming to influence policy and advocate for positive change.
Jason hopes to build connections and expand his understanding of legislative processes on Capitol Hill as a CHCI intern. He is eager to hone his skills and apply them to make a meaningful impact in his community and beyond, fostering a future where inclusive policies and equitable opportunities prevail.
