Karla Fernanda is the oldest daughter of Mexican immigrants from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is a passionate leader, serving as her speech and debate captain, along with being president of her school’s Hispanic Student Union. Karla Fernanda spends her time advocating for health care equity and accessible mental health care. Due to the NextGen program, Karla Fernanda gained a sense of identity and empowerment as a Latin Immigrant, and learned the tactics to empower and lead waves of change. She is excited to continue to meet fellow Latino leaders and support their journey!
