Nayla Bonilla-Mendez

Nayla Bonilla-Mendez is in 11th grade Ecuadorian-Bolivian American at Justice HS, and is working on a school-based project, Healthcare Access, a proposed event for a health fair at Justice HS with the purpose of promoting health equity. Her passion is serving others and building connections with those in her community. Her goal is possibly a career in medicine. She is currently class representative of students council, and a Public Health Youth Ambassador in her school district. Being part of the NextGen Program allowed her to strengthen her leadership skills and think analytically of root causes in her community. She would recommend the program to students who want to learn to become someone who would like to make change in their community but also gain experience in becoming a leader!
