NICOLE ROCA

Nicole Roca serves as a Legislative Correspondent for Senator John Cornyn focusing on the Energy, Environment, and Trade portfolios. Prior to Senator Cornyn’s office, she served as the Staff Assistant and then Legislative Correspondent for the Office of Congressman Steve Scalise from August 2020 to September 2022. While a Staff Assistant, Nicole completed the Heritage Congressional Fellowship in 2021.

A graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, Nicole earned her Bachelors in Legal Studies in Business and a minor in Political Science in May 2020 before moving to Washington. In the summer of 2019, Nicole interned for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in the Political Outreach Department that focused on pro-Israel organizing in Hispanic, Christian, Veteran, Progressive, and African American Communities. She also served as the AIPAC liaison for Tulane University from 2019 to 2020. In 2018, she completed a summer internship at the Office of the Attorney General of Alabama and spent the fall semester abroad studying public policy at University College London (UCL). While at UCL, she completed an Independent Research Study focusing on the impact of the Human Rights Act of 1998 on the 20th anniversary of its assent from the British Parliament. Nicole is a native of New Orleans and grew up near Mobile, Alabama.
