Rolando Martinez-Aguilar is the son of immigrant parents from Honduras now living in Owings Mills, Maryland. He plays for his high school football team, McDonogh School, and is apart of many different clubs. The club he created at his school helps young first generation Latino students with homework when Spanish speaking parents are unable to. He is currently working on a research project which studies how different teaching methods affect bilingual students learning comprehension. Rolando looks forward to a career in aerospace/aeronautical engineering. He participated in the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute NextGen Latino Leadership program and learned so much more about how he can use his voice to leave a positive impact on his community.
