Romina Casanova is a daughter of Peruvian immigrants from Orlando, Florida. She is an active member of her school’s debate team, an athletic trainer, and an active member of clubs such as Girls Who Code, Battle of the Books, and GenWOW. Romina is very passionate about economics and business administration – more specifically what it takes to start and maintain a successful business. Thanks to the opportunity to partake a role in the NextGen Program, Romina has been introduced to a wonderful network of other scholars and workers and has gained an understanding of what being a Latina is and how to empower others. She looks forward to work in the business field in order to gain a deeper understanding of how business work and be able to start her own business in her home country Peru.
