Thalia Patiño M. is a first-generation daughter to a Colombian mother from Boston, Massachusetts. Thalia is an Everett Youth Council member that represents youth in her local government while being an ambassador for her local water shed for environmental protection. She is interested in pursuing a career in politics and starting grassroots organizations to further diversify her local government. Thanks to the NextGen Latino Leadership Program, Thalia has learned the power in her identity and vulnerability to further understand others and herself as well. She looks forward to one day lower the voting age to 16 (nationwide) and reform the immigration process for all.
