Yamilex Otero is born and raised in Habersham County, Georgia, a daughter of two immigrant parents from Guanajuato, Mexico. She has been on the Honor Roll for four straight years, and it is her dream to go to college like her two older brothers. She is currently the Vice President of Marketing for HoPe (Hispanic Organization Promoting Education). From the NextGen program she gained a better perspective of leadership, a better understanding of being a Latina, and gained an amazing network of future leaders.
