Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Launches 2024 Latino Hill Staff Academy
WASHINGTON, DC – April 25, 2024 – Following the success of its inaugural cohort last year, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) is proud to announce the launch of the 2024 Latino Hill Staff Academy (LHSA). This groundbreaking program, supported by a five-year investment from the Capital One Foundation, aims to provide leadership and professional development opportunities to outstanding leaders serving on Capitol Hill.
The non-partisan, bicameral leadership program is dedicated to the professional and leadership development of Latino/a/e Capitol Hill Staffers, at every role and level, in the United States Senate and House of Representatives.
This year the LHSA welcomes 30 participants representing different roles and levels ranging from staff assistants to committee executive directors – from both the House and the Senate. Program participants engage in both virtual and in-person leadership and professional development sessions over the course of five months.
“As we welcome a new, larger cohort to the Latino Hill staff Academy, we celebrate the achievements of our inaugural class, which saw 24 participants thrive in their Capitol Hill roles. Now, with 30 talented individuals joining us this year, and the generous commitment of partners like the Capital One Foundation, we are poised to make an even greater impact in strengthening the pipeline of outstanding leaders in every role and level serving in the United States Congress.” said Marco A. Davis, President and CEO, Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
