Luisa Lopez

Luisa is CHCI’s Communications Coordinator, where she supports the organization’s communications strategy by creating multimedia content, developing event materials, and managing digital platforms to increase brand visibility and engagement. She brings a strong background in public service communications, shaped by her experience with the Renew Democracy Foundation, where she worked on Capitol Hill, and the Instituto de Mexicanos en el Exterior, where she focused on civic participation and international collaboration.

CHCI’s mission is especially meaningful to Luisa because, having grown up near the U.S.–Mexico border, she witnessed the collective impact of the Latino community when working together. She is passionate about using communications to elevate underrepresented voices and strengthen civic engagement. As a travel enthusiast, Luisa has visited seven countries and more than half of the U.S. states, with many more to come.”
