Ms. Thomas is Vice President at TRI-COR Industries. (TCI) and is committed to building a diverse operational culture of excellence to help create a competitive advantage in the Defense, the Homeland Security and the Intelligence Communities for both the public and the private sectors. Ms. Thomas is a transformational leader and has been an experienced leader in congressional and state government affairs; has extensive marketing expertise in appropriations, defense, energy, healthcare, homeland security, intelligence and transportation. Ms. Thomas background as a former senior advisor for Members of the House of Representatives, provided the platform needed to differentiate her in a competitive marketplace. Her legislative experience includes policy initiatives that have successfully aligned major stakeholders in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Security Division to form a working group to coordinate the assessment of the Security Division’s workforce and its restructuring. Also as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Jackson Lee, Ms. Thomas was successful working with the private sector to build the largest procurement contracting meet and match opportunity for women, securing benefits for disabled veterans, and helping to level the playing field in the energy, defense and homeland security industries. Ms. Thomas served on the senior policy and legislative staff of Congressman Louis Stokes of Ohio; Congresswoman Carrie Meek of Florida and most recently served as the Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Terri Sewell of Alabama.

In each of these positions she was required to strategically develop and implement complex legislative agendas, while cultivating key relationships with congressional staff and pertinent stakeholders. When it comes to both transactional and transformational thought leadership, bold thinking and quality representation at the federal level, Ms. Thomas has mastered it and provides great value as Vice President at TCI.Ms. Ms. Thomas has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Tougaloo College Research and Development Foundation, serves as a member of the Corporate Advisory Council to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc., and a member of the Advisory Board to the Coalition of Black Excellence.. She holds a BA degree from Wright State University (Ohio) and a MBA from Trinity University. Ms. Thomas had the honor of representing her Congressional colleagues in Germany on behalf of the Congressional Bundestag Energy Exchange, and she also spent a year studying economics, international policy in Okayama, Japan.
