Camila Suárez Flores

Camila Suárez Flores is an outgoing girl who is currently a student at Cimatec, native from San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, with roots in Argentina through her dad. She co-founded AboutSteam, an Instagram account dedicated to encouraging young people, especially girls, to engage in STEAM projects. Camila also founded the Crochet Club, in which she teaches Cimatec youth club members the basics of crochet once a week, with their creations being donated to philanthropic organizations. Participating in CHCI NextGen was a transformative experience for her. She learned to find confidence in her voice, and what it truly means to be a leader. Thanks to the amazing Latino youth she met, she was able to realize that change is in the hands of the youth.
