Sophia Sosa was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and now lives in Miami, Florida. She is determined, committed, and passionate about civics, law, and political activism. She is currently the Historian of Model United Nations, an active member of National Honor Society and Law Honor Society. Through Model United Nations, she found her passion for International Relations and Political Science. Sophia hopes to be an advocate for women’s reproductive rights, undocumented immigrants and gun laws. She believes that in order to make a change in the world, it is in her hands to make a difference. Her parents always taught her to be humble, genuine, kind and always give back to the people who need it the most. Thanks to CHCI NextGen, she is one step closer to making a change in society and achieving her dreams of solving crucial problems in the Hispanic community.
