Witnessing the rapid impact of climate change, she is deeply committed to environmental advocacy. At her school, she pioneered the installation of recycling bins and is now inspiring neighboring schools to adopt similar practices. With a keen interest in both politics and sustainability, Alessa aims to bridge these fields to advance environmental legislation. CHCI NextGen has shown her the intersection of science and politics and provided a unique opportunity for growth and reflection on having formed lasting friendships through this experience.
