2024 NextGen Latino Leadership Program

Aidan Martinez

Hometown: San Antonio, Texas

School: East Central High School

Aidan Martinez is a proud Afro-Latino and youngest of four from San Antonio, Texas. With nearly 250 community service hours and being in the top 1% of his class, he is recognized by many as a well-rounded academic. As Founder and President of his school’s Black Student Association, Treasurer of the Spanish National Honor Society, and Captain of the UIL Academics team, he remains familiar with accomplished leadership. Using these skills during CHCI NextGen, he engaged in various workshops and networking opportunities with other participants and US representatives. Being a finalist of the Alamo Regional Science and Engineering Fair and a student in the Upward Bound Math & Science program, he intends to pair his dedication for law and government with his love for STEM fields as a policy major in college, to ultimately become a lawyer with a focus in STEM and nonprofits. While running a 3+ years small crochet business in his free time, he has successfully cemented his name in his community as a young stakeholder.
