Alejandra Diaz is the daughter of two Mexican immigrants from Los Angeles, California. In an effort to have an impact on her neighborhood, she is currently a CAC member working with Public Matters’ urban planners. She wants to make her community and many more a safe, beautiful, healthy, and welcoming environment for everyone. She desires to become the civil engineer required to contribute to making this possible as a result. Thanks to the NextGen program, Alejandra realized how important and powerful the voice of one person can create a big change. Her participation in this program has given her access to numerous networks around the country. Most significantly, Alejandra understood that anyone can make the seemingly impossible achievable.
