Alejandra (Ale) Zacarias is the child of Salvadoran parents and lives in Arlington, Texas. They are a part of Student Government as a parliamentarian for their college campus, have learning disabilities, and are working on their associates degree. They are very concerned about issues such as disability rights, immigration, health care, and racial discrimination. CHCI NextGen has helped Ale form friendships, meet new people, and learn about the systems of government in the US.  In the future Ale plans on becoming a High School History Teacher to help the next generation to shine and teach students to become the next leaders of the future.
