Alexa Luna is a Mexican-American student residing in Brownsville, Texas. Witnessing immigration firsthand has fueled her passion to become an immigration attorney. Alexa plans to double major in Computer Science and Political Science to complement her career goals. She is actively involved in several organizations, including the National Honor Society, and serves as the Executive Director for Ella Puede Stem, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring girls in STEM fields. Through her participation in CHCI NextGen, Alexa gained a deeper understanding of the political system and policy-making processes. She also had the opportunity to engage with her Texas representative to discuss their stance on various policies.
