Alicia Madjido

Hometown: Melville, New York 

School: Half Hollow Hills Highschool East

Alicia Madjido is a rising senior at Half Hollow Hills High school East. She is from the Dominican Republic and the Central African Republic. She is a Varsity Competitive Cheerleader on her high school’s team. Also, she is a research assistant at Stony Brook University, a Hispanic Scholarship Fund Youth Leadership Institute Ambassador, and on the teen executive board of Jack and Jill’s Suffolk County Chapter. She is a part of her school’s National Honor Society, Math National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, and Spanish National Honor Society. Recently, she has taken the role as Vice President of the LatinXTech Melville Chapter. CHCI NextGen has empowered Alicia in her Latin identity and reaffirmed her potential in being a future leader. She is excited to be a leader of the new Latino narrative and a role model to younger Latinos.
