School: Shawnee Mission North High School 

Both of Anahi’s parents are from Chihuahua, Mexico, but she grew up in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Kansas. Over the years she has become so appreciative of the Latino community in every state she’s lived in. At her school, she is involved in various activities like Pep Club, StuCo, Hispanic Heritage Club, the Marching Band, National Honors Society and a few others. Outside of school she participates in the Youth Symphony of Kansas City and the District and All-State Band. Music is something that inspires her and it is one of her greatest loves. The NextGen Program was a vessel for her to find different ways that she can use music and her voice to make a difference. It inspired her to encourage more Latino kids to go out and represent their country proudly.
