Angela Gabriela Osorio’s upbringing was across America, though she now resides in Brownsville, Texas. Being the daughter of a Mexican-American mother and Puerto Rican father, she is proud to carry her heritage and lead in her community. As the president of her school’s Service Leadership Society and 4-H clubs, she has earned herself a valuable appreciation of civic engagement and a leadership attitude, all through means of self-expression and advocacy. Whether it be for pressing further action against climate change or advancing the support for female veterans, CHCI NextGen has empowered her with the skills and insights necessary to influence and change the world. Such an inclusive and uplifting program has left a profound mark on Angela’s story, and she is deeply grateful that CHCI is around to support her journey toward becoming a public servant in the state of Texas.
